Uma das primeiras imagens completas que estou publicando,
capturada com meu novo setup (Newton Astrograph)
Estou muito contente com os resultados iniciais, e
já tenho muitas horas de dados para processar.
Para mim, está sendo uma experiência totalmente nova, já
que sempre fui um entusiasta de telescópios refratores.
Porém é inegável o que a combinação de maior abertura,
e espelhos fazem com as imagens. Percebi que as cores das minhas
estrelas melhoraram muito, além do fato, de que capturar em
F3.9 aumenta muito o SNR das minhas imagens.
NGC 300 - Uma bela galáxia "esculpida"
O trocadilho infame tem relação com a região em que a
galáxia se encontra, mais precisamente na
constelação do escultor.
NGC 300 é uma galáxia espiral localizada a
cerca de seis milhões e quinhentos mil
anos-luz (aproximadamente 1,992 megaparsecs)
de distância.
Possui aproximadamente noventa e cinco mil
anos-luz de diâmetro.
O tamanho aparente é de cerca de dois terços do tamanho
da Lua Cheia no céu.
Vista pela primeira vez da Austrália, pelo astrônomo
escocês James Dunlop no início do século XIX, a NGC 300
é uma das galáxias espirais mais próximas e mais
destacadas do céu do hemisfério Sul, sendo suficientemente
brilhante para ser observada com binóculos.
A NGC 300 e uma outra galáxia, a NGC 55, encontram-se em
rotação lenta na direção e em torno uma da outra, na
primeira fase do longo processo de uma fusão galáctica.
Faz parte do aglomerado de galáxias de Sculptor.

One of the first complete images I'm publishing,
captured with my new setup (Newton Astrograph)
I am very happy with the initial results, and
I already have many hours of data to process.
For me, it's been a totally new experience,
I've always been an enthusiast of refracting telescopes.
However, it is undeniable that the combination of greater openness,
and mirrors do with images. I noticed that my colors
stars have improved a lot, besides the fact that capturing in
F3.9 greatly increases the SNR of my images.
NGC 300 - A beautiful "sculpted" galaxy
The infamous pun has to do with the region in which the
galaxy is located, more precisely in the
constellation of the sculptor.
NGC 300 is a spiral galaxy located at
about six million five hundred thousand
light years (approximately 1,992 megaparsecs)
from distance.
It has approximately ninety-five thousand
light years in diameter.
Apparent size is about two-thirds the size
of the Full Moon in the sky.
Australia's first seen by astronomer
Scotsman James Dunlop in the early 19th century, the NGC 300
is one of the closest and most
detached from the sky of the southern hemisphere, being sufficiently
bright to be observed with binoculars.
NGC 300 and another galaxy, NGC 55, are in
slow rotation towards and around each other in the
first phase of the long process of a galactic merger.
It is part of the Sculptor galaxy cluster.
