Description

The one and only Great Orion Nebula, the first target of my new RedCat and cooled astro camera. Spent a few nights learning the ins and outs of my new equipment and battling against wind, moonlight, and dithering mistakes, as well as learning different methods for HDR composition. In the end I've thrown out a few hundred exposures of varying lengths for one reason or another, but what's left I think works pretty well.

I would love some constructive feedback on processing tips. I think I got the core definition alright (without it looking unnatural), but I know my stars are huge. Going to experiment a bit more and hopefully post a revision in the next few days.

Cheers from NZ and Merry Christmas all!
