Description

Another time filler while imaging my mosaics. I still remember my first imaging season with my old 8" Newtonian and DSLR back in 2021 where I ran a few shots on the horse just before the break of dawn. Than, in the following winter I tried my luck again from my light polluted balcony in B.C. with my EvoGuide 50ED and DSLR. That marked the end of my DSLR use and my ASi183MCpro was soon ordered. This time I imaged this target for 2 half nights with my L-Pro filter and my dual Narrowband filter and combined the extracted Ha date to the RGB data. Happy with this outcome although I could have played a bit more around with Alnitak to get the purple hue out of the halo.
At some point I probably will target it with my Newtonian in mono...once I have crossed off some more interesting objects on my list.

Title: Barnard 33 - Revised under cloudy and rainy skies

Description: This has been long on my "to-do" list. A few weeks ago I have eased my way back into Affinity Photo to relearn the software and some of the processes that are just right-out difficult to achieve in PixInsight, although we do now have the ImageBlend script. I was sure I would get more out of my data I had collected by screen blend the Antlia ALP-T and the Optolong L-Pro masters together. The new revision is by no means perfect, but definitely a big improvement in showing the different aspects between emission and reflection nebulae which in my previous process kind of got lost.
