Description

The Eagle Nebula, or M16, is an emission nebula containing several active star-forming regions. It is located approximately 7,000 light years away and can be observed during the summer period.

One of the most iconic regions is known a the Pillars of Creation (in the middle/heart of the eagle), a 4-5 light years tall pillar which accommodates newly born stars and other solar systems.

The frames were taken between 06/07/2021 - 12/07/2021 using Ha OIII and SII filters. The post-processing included stacking through Astropixel Processor, removal of stars using starnet++, processing of SHO (Hubble Palette) and HOO in Adobe Photoshop and finally merging the images together.
