Rarely Imaged Small DSOs

“Good things come in small packages.”

Big, bright, beautiful objects like the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) and the Eagle Nebula (M16) get most of the attention and likes. Smaller, spectacular objects like the Ring Nebula (M57) and the Owl Nebula (M97) are also well appreciated. This group is not for those kinds of objects. This group is for those of us with longer focal length systems who want to share images of less popular and smaller targets, hopefully bringing some attention to the underappreciated.

In general, this group is for objects smaller than 5 arc-minutes in width which do not get imaged very much. Objects which are the first on Astrobin are especially appreciated.
