Description

This object is a dark nebula located in the constellation of Sagittarius at a declination of -33 degrees. Compared to other dark nebulae I have imaged lately, this nebula is not as deeply dark. The image is not as crisp and clear as I would like due to the low altitude from my location.

Like most dark nebula, I could find no interesting information on this object online and I do not know the distance. The dark nebulae for which distances have been determined are typically 1000 to 1500 light years from us. If that is the case for this nebula, it is about 7 to 10 light years long.
