Description

Messier 106, a spiral galaxy in the Canes Venatici constellation. One of more impressive galaxies out there, also quite large and a nice astrophoto target!

Took a while to process this, not enough exposure to get nice (not noisy) outer layers of the galaxy.
So this is a 50% resampled version, a bit more stretched than the 100% 0,83"/px version I will post as a revision.
I originally wanted to crop out the galaxy in top right (had to crop the stack due to bad SNR there, due to imaging during multiple nights / dithering), but left is as is as there is a pair of two nice small galaxies at the top of the image.

Data collected in Jan/Feb 2022.
