Description

Another beautiful sunset captured with my Autel Evo 2 8k drone from the backyard at about 400ft. altitude. This is my first attempt at a panoramic using the drone. I did reduce the size down from the original as it was three 48 megapixel shots combined and kept crashing the Topaz noise reduction software I use for the low light drone shots. They are pretty noisy straight out of the camera due to its relatively small sensor.

Although the clouds make for beautiful sunsets they have mostly been the norm for my weather patterns lately and they have definitely put a damper on any astrophotography. When I did have a few clear nights they were spent gathering PEC curves for my MyT mount which seems to be having issues with the RA worm. Looks like it will need replacing as I am having rather large RA spikes that ruin almost 80 percent of any images captured 😢. Anyways, I am waiting to hear back from SB for a solution and hope to be back imaging soon!

The image is best viewed at full resolution. If you look just left of the sunset, on the horizon, you can see the testing tower and a crane used to hoist rockets for testing at Marshal Space Flight Center. Enjoy and thanks for looking!
