Description

First light with the Omegon LX quattro (mechanical tracker which is powered by a spring that moves the tracker for about 60 minutes).

The polar alignment was considered as the most problematic part, but went much better than expected.
Even with zero experience, alignment it did not take more than 5 minutes.

The 45 seconds exposures are the maximum I could capture per frame.
The manual says the maximum is (6000 / (85 x 1.5)) = 47 seconds. I was hoping to beat that, but 50 seconds already showed egg-ish stars.

I would not recommend to use more focal length with this tracker.
Also the milky way will be a more suitable target for this tracker (e.g. with a fast 16 mm lens).
