Description

In the constellation of Serpens we find this rather unknown open cluster, NGC 6604. At least unknown in comparison to its famous neighbours, the Eagle Nebula and the Swan Nebula. The cluster dwells on the boarder of Gold 'n' Red, embedded between a crowded star field and a Hydrogen region. I experimented a lot with the Ha in combination with the Luminance and the Red data.
In the end I settled enhancing luminance with slight amounts of Ha, but I did not add the Ha to the red channel. The Ha in the Red would always end up disturbing the delicate balance between Gold and Red. Enjoy!CS
