This is a narrowband SHO image with RGB stars replacing the narrowband stars.

Sharpless 2-115, shown in the upper portion of the image, is an emission nebula lying along the edge of one of the outer Milky Way’s giant molecular clouds (lower part of image), about 7,500 light-years away.  Hot stars in the cluster, Berkeley 90, power the nebula’s glow. The cluster stars are young -- only 100 million years old or so.  The small round nebula is Sh2-116.  The nebula is also cataloged as PK 085+04.1, PNG 084.9+04.4 and Abell 71.  Initially cataloged as a planetary nebula, more recently it's been thought to be a small patch of HII emission.  The HASH PN data base currently lists its status as "True PN."
