This is the first image from a dual Red/Space Cat setup, 1 using a 2600mc pro and the other my 1600GT, In this image I captured over 9 hours colour data and combined it with 6 hours Ha data. I was surprised at how close the Radian Ultra came to the Astrodon Ha in the 1600GT when seperating the channels. I am consistently reminded of how good the 2600mc pro really is and the data is so easy to process. This picture was taken as more of an experiment than a serious endeavor, the dual setup worked rather well, however I lost a few frames because the alignment of the two scopes was not centered and I had to make a compromise, I also could have done a way better job by simply rotating the cameras to the target. As for the composition, I've got to say I liked the purple over the red on the california Nebula.

Description: Final version of California nebula, softer in the fainter nebula and a bit of dark enhance on top, the only piece i may want to change in the future will be reverting back to the original star color and not HOO stars.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
