Description

Nov 11, 2020 - Orion Nebula M42 Bright Core

I believe Orion Nebula is the most photographed target ever and to be honest I don't blame anyone because it is too bright for any camera to capture and it is simply beautiful. Personally I've captured it so many times and even with 500mm focal length you can see lots of details, now when I switched to higher focal length I really wanted to capture it again and hopefully bring more details within.

Equipment used was EdgeHD 9.25" with 0.7x reducer, Astronomik CLS-CCD filter, ZWO ASI1600MC-cool camera and iOptron CEM60 mount.

Captured 30x20sec gain 75

Second I cropped the bright core from the 20sec frame and kept enhancing it till it looked decent. Here is a true fact, until a year ago I thought there are only (4) bright stars in the center's trapezium but then I found that there are (6) bright stars that can be seen visually with a Dobsonian, I was so happy that I managed to capture those (6) stars in my image. Also there is an inverted U shape to the right side of the image, I can also see it in the big image, I am just curious if that is a shock wave from one of the stars or something but I must say it looks beautiful.
