Description

At 238,000 miles from Earth, I'm amazed at the level of detail visible in a modest amateur telescope. Taken using 26mm eyepiece projection, my DSI-IIC has performed admirably, stacking and sharpening the images. Stacking multiple images and applying a hard kernel filter, helps to bring out the detail. The light catching the crater rims, peaks and troughs is constantly changing, making the moon a great target in moments of steady seeing.
