22 hr HaLRGB image of M81 (Bode's Galaxy), a imager-favorite grand design spiral galaxy about 12 million light-years away, with a diameter of 90K light years, about half the size of the Milky Way. Plenty of Integral Flux Nebula (IFN) is also visible throughout this 22hr image. The IFN is high galactic latitude clouds of dust particles, hydrogen and carbon monoxide and other elements that make up the interstellar medium in the Milky Way and is illuminated by our own Milky Way. This image is from a crop of a larger field image of M81. M82, IFN and other galaxies in the M81 group using 2014 and 2017 data at the Link above. North is up.
