Description

The Western Veil Nebula (also known as the Witch's Broom Nebula) is found in the constellation Cygnus.  It is part of the Cygnus Loop, a supernova remnant of a star that exploded between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago.  Pickering's Triangle is the north central portion of the Loop.
