Description

Some new equipment was necessary after my 2-inch Celestron SCT Diagonal Broke when I had an impact on my scope as I was moving it around the house.

New 2-inch Celestron SCT Diagonal, a redo of collimation, and a new camera.

I got a Player-One Neptune-C (IMX178 chip) from agenaastro.com because my ASI120mc was acting funky ever since Windows 10 and usb 3.0 ports.  Seem the original ASI120MC USB 2.0 was a non compliant usb interface, and I would get lock ups.  i decided on a 178 based sensor so that I would have a larger field of view due to my alt-az mount and so I could also dabble in DSO photography.

The seeing was terrible today with high jet stream winds, but I wanted to test out my redone collimation.  I think  I need do a fine collimation but I am waiting on a calm day to do a star test.

I also tried to do a winjupos derotation.

4 1 minute subs at 80 FPS (way better than the 20s to 30s that my ASI120 would get if it wasn't locking up), PIPP to reduce down to 1200 images for each subs, Autostackert down to 25 percent (terrible seeing), registrax for reglet sharpening, and combined together using WinJupos Derotation.

Can't wait to test this out in better seeing if I get the chance.  Jupiter will soon be too low and my backyard horizons are blocked with trees, when that happens I will go onto DSOs until next year's planetary seasons.

Final - Derotated in Winjupos
Original - non-derotated
