Description

This is, essentially, my real first light project with the Stellarvue SVX-102T, and was very straightforward for acquisition and processing.

Over several clear (!!) nights, I collected 2.5 hours each RGB (180s exposures at gain 0), and 10.5 hours Lum (60s exposures at gain 0). In Bortle 8.5 Northern VA, shooting at the low gain allowed me to lengthen my exposure and clip fewer than 10px in each frame.

Processing was not unusual: WBPP to stack (with LN, and 2x drizzle) and dynamic crop. RGB followed the typical Channel Combination, BXT, DBE, NXT, SXT, GHS, CT, followed by a light convolution.
After deconvolving the Lum, I lightly sharpened with MLT then used GHS to stretch, followed by HDRMT and LHE to recover some detail. I then pulled the Lum master into Photoshop as a TIF and sharpened using high pass filters at a small and then slightly larger pixel size. After slight contrast adjustment with curves, I pulled the Lum master back into PI and added it to the RGB master with LRGB Combination.  As you can see, nothing unusual except, perhaps, for sharpening in PS which I find gives me a tool that I can control better.
