Description

The Cygnus Wall complex is part of the more recognisable North American nebula (NGC 7000). If you take the similarity of the whole nebula with the shape of the North American continent literally, then Cygnus Wall covers Mexico (bright part) and the Gulf of Mexico (dark nebula). Visually it is a dramatic sight and a place where new stars are born. This ridge is approximately 20 light years long and is approximately 1,800 light-years away from Earth. While all of NGC 7000 is an emission nebula, its greatest concentration of star birth is occurring within the wall. This is my first proper SHO mono image.
