Description

28 million light-years from Earth the striking edge-on profile of the spiral Sombrero Galaxy (M104) features a bright core and a broad ring of obscuring dust lanes. Discovered in 1781 by the French astronomer Pierre Mechain, the galaxy spans 50,000 light-years.

Equipment and capture details are a little rough at this point since it's a combination of data over the years, but I'll give it a shot.

75 x 180" ZWO asi2600mm-pro, Skywatcher 150mm Evostar APO, 2" Optolong Luminance Filter

29 x 300" asi071mc-pro, Skywatcher 150mm Evostar APO, 2" Baader Moon & Skyglow Filter

All shot on a Skywatcher EQ8-R Pro guided by a ZWO asi290mc in a Skywatcher EvoGuide 50mm.
