Description

M3 with a side benefit: a glimpse of NGC 5263, a Spiral Galaxy in the Canes Venatici constellation.

NGC 5263 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. The 
New General Catalogue is a list of deep space objects that was compiled by John Louis Emil Dreyer in 1888 in an update to John Herschel's earlier catalogue.


NGC 5263 is 185,582,978.91 light years away  from Earth versus M3 which is located 34,000 light-years from Earth.
