Description

40 Million solar masses, that's the mass of the black hole in M106!
I really wanted to image in H-alpha, too, because there are some Ha-features near this active galaxy core. But not now, the weather in my region does not allow it. All astrophotographers here are starving, there are endless periods of cloudy skies.
So I took what I have got so far to my computer to finally create an image again.

M 106 is starbursting, you can see lots of young blue stars in it's spiral arms.
Also the two dwarf-galaxies NGC4248 and UGC7358 are depicted here - and lots of tiny galaxies far away in the background.

I hope you like my version of this frequently photographed galaxy, clear skies!
