Description

This is probably the most famous astronomy object there is, the Great Orion Nebula, or, M42. This is a massive star forming region about 1,300 light years from Earth. It's one of the brightest nebulae in our night sky and that along with its inherent beauty make it one of the most often photographed object out there. I have imaged this object before and, in fact have a print of that image on my wall right now. I hate that image and I hate that print, so I wanted to do it again, but right this time. This is only a bit more than 2 hours of data (shows how awesome and bright this object is), but that was more than enough to do what I wanted, which was to represent the many different structures in true color, without saturating or blowing anything out. I'm pretty happy with the result, I like this iteration MUCH better than my 2018/2019 one, and I hope you like it as well.
