Description

Like my previous camera lens image, I wasn't sure if I wanted to post the results, but here you go.  Here was my second attempt to use a Camera lens with a dedicated astronomy camera, this image used a Canon 50mm lens.  Like my Milky Way image, I gained focus by adjusting back focus the focus ring on my Canon lens does not work if not hooked up to a Canon camera.  Like my other image, this one looks OK from a distance, just don't zoom in on the stars.  What made this image even harder and a bear to process is that we had a lot of thin clouds and I ended up with only 31 minutes of data and even in this 31 minutes, no of the images were totally cloud free.

However, I do like the wide FOV, the colors and if you look closely you can see I capture the Dark Horse nebula and 4 Messier objects.
