Clear skies have been pretty sparse in this area but finally managed to gather a satisfying amount of broadband information in my opinion. Andromeda was the actual first object I looked at with my astrophotography rig and seeing the details come in on the subexposures has not grown old for me yet. The first couple of sessions quickly showed me that I needed a lot more data to combat the light pollution and get an image I can stretch even further for more information. At last, last night I was finally able to collect enough information that I could feel the blue details on the galaxy. It was quite a learning experience using ASTAP to identify clouds and reject those images then learned some new tricks in Affinity photo for the editing.

The next step for this image would be to add in Ha and Oiii information from my Dual Narrowband filters and to add in my HDR information for the core. However, that might take some time as I want to start using my scope on objects it was meant to image such as the California Nebula and the North American Nebula before it sets below the top of my house. The HDR will also need some work as I need to read more blending guides and possibly collect more data as it is 320x5s and 264x10s.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
