Description

Revisiting some old data from my (relatively) early astrophotography days with my improved processing skills, so I feel comfortable sharing here!

On March 3rd 2021 Mars passed close to the Pleiades. Despite less than ideal conditions and a narrow gap between trees I managed to get 40 minutes of noisy data. Happy I got the color contrast, and even picked up some of the reflection nebula around the Pleiades. I revisited this using StarNet V2 to give me more opportunity to stretch the nebula, and also needed to generate a synthetic flat in Photoshop to get rid of a light pollution gradient. As this is from a while back, I didn't have all the calibration frames (including flats) that I would typically use these days. Still glad I managed to salvage something from this!
