Description

I have a favorite spot, not that far away from home. Around 40 minutes drive. The whole countryside here is a plain. This spot sits somewhere in the middle and there are only very small towns in the neighborhood. This makes it a Bortle 2 location where the milky way and all of it's fluffy clouds and dust is visible by the naked eye. I usually look with my Celestron binocular while the camera does the work. The last time I visited was almost 2 years ago right before the pandemic hit and travel became limited.Yesterday I had the chance to spend a whole night there.I chose the Eagle nebula as my first target at this location which is the home for my all time favorite formation the Pillars of creation.Only 35 shots were taken on this short summer night 300 sec each with the dual narrowband L-extreme. M16 - Eagle nebulaGear:Skywatcher 200/800 QuattroHeq5 proFull spectrum Nikon d5600Optolong L-extremeAsi 120mm Mini with 60mm guide scopeAstroberry Processed in astro pixel processor, PixInsight and photoshop.
