Description

More than 20 years ago me and my sister were looking at the summer night sky through a pair of binoculars, aimlessly wandering along the Milky Way. It was her turn, when she found something interesting slightly above and to the right of Sagitta. She handed me a binoculars and told me where to look, and soon enough I was able to find this small and interesting group of stars, slightly resembling a tiny tilted dipper, like in Pleiades or Ursa Major. It was times before the internet, and we had nowhere to look and no one to ask for what it is, so we decided to give this group of stars a name. At the time we had a little djungarian hamster as a pet, so we thought it would be funny to call this cluster "a Djungarian". Of course, we were aware that we are probably not the first ones to find this cluster, but for us it was a pure astronomical discovery, without any prior knowledge of the object. Even today it remains to be one of my favorite objects in the night sky.
