Reminescent of the tadpoles of IC410 better known to the northern stargazers, we southerner's had to have one of our own!
About 9000 light years away, this object is often overlooked in favour of Carina or the Statue of Liberty nebulae, but a great target on its own nonetheless.
This is 12 hours of narrowband data with 4 hours across each filter. Taken through the Skywatcher Esprit 100ED and ZWO 1600GT.
I processed this slightly differently leaving a bit of lightness to the image given the surrounding nebulosity. Also within a very dense starfield, I have reduced this a bit to make the nebula pop a bit more.
Also amazes me how often planetary nebula pop up in images, so far in all the targets I have shot this year there has been one!
The one in this image is the blue blob towards the middle just above the nebula known as PN G290.7

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
