Description

This is my take on the lunar eclipse.  I figured a lot of people would be out observing it and taking some pretty amazing images already so I decided to take a timelapse of the event instead.  After putting the image together and watching it over and over I think it's a better record of the experience I had watching it.

For the image I traveled to a site about 2hrs out of town which is darker and was supposed to clear sooner than home as well.  However, the clouds were still rolling by when the eclipse started so I was unable to polar align the mount and the beginning of the eclipse was taken through the clouds.  The image is composed of 227 individual frames taken one minute apart, tracked and centered manually, played back at a rate of 16 frames per second.
