Description

NGC 4945 Galaxy

Description:
- The NGC 4945 galaxy is approx. 13 million light years from Earth.
- It is a spiral galaxy (like the Milky Way) but is being viewed edge-on.
- The galaxy has a diameter of approx. 76,000 light years (our Milky Way’s diameter is approx. 100,000 light years).

Details:
- Captured on 18-Jun-22.
- Celestron Edge 11 (280mm aperture, focal length 2800mm, f/10).
- ZWO ASI1600MM Pro monochrome camera (cooled to -10 DegC).
- EQ8Rh Pro mount, ASIair.
- 4x 300sec captures of each of Red, Green and Blue images, using Astrodon filters (1 hour).
- Calibrated with Dark, Flats, Flat Darks and Bias frames.
- Processed in PixInsight and Topaz Sharpen AI.
- Image size and resolution reduced for Facebook.
