Description

I observed this object on 18 June 2015 at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado using a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: Very dim patch. Overall dim but it brightens towards the core. Appears to have a large halo.

I observed this object on 26 September 2016 at the Okie-Tex Star Party using a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: I This globular cluster is a dim patch that brightens slightly towards the center.

I obtained the calibrated lights frames used to create the final image from Telescope Live. The frames were imaged by the CHI-1-CMOS Telescope at the El Sauce Observatory in Chile.

Distance: 27,727 LY
Type: Hub Globular
Position w.r.t. core of galaxy: In the Milky Wy hub just above and the one side of the core.
Any stars resolved: No
Undergoing Core Collapse: No
