Description

This was a summer project in Hungary during the VEGA Astronomical Association get-together in Orimagyarósd (not far from Zalaegerszeg). Two half nights with intermittent clouds. We really enjoy starting the photo session, and just wonder around in the telescope forest  and randomly look at different objects. Even with the biggest tubes, it is impossible to catch the faint details and colors you can achieve just in a few minutes with your CMOS sensor. But the joy of looking up your target (no GOTO!) get lost in busy stellar fields, and finally find your object [then wonder what is it you actually see there ] is a completely different experience. That is the joy of discovering - even if just for yourself! It is absolutely amazing just how well some of the amateurs know the skies, and what gems they dig up during these sessions.

We dedicate this picture to the lone discoverers of the night.
