Description

This formation is known in the literature as the Southeast(ern) Knot. It is so small that it simply gets overlooked being next to the majestic lobes of the Cygnus Loop/Veil Complex - the well known NGC 6992 and 6960.  However, according to researchers, the Knot is just the tip of a developing shock front in the Loop, one that might become as bright as the others in due time.

Project started and 90% finished in 2022, completed recently in 2023 due to the issue with fan vibration on my 2600MM and upon fixing the object was already gone for the year.  Faint spikes can seen on some stars as part of the starfield RGB color wasn't covered with the material from the Mak so I shot a few frames with Blue filter with my current telescope on duty (RC10).
