Description

Markarian's Chain is a stretch of galaxies that forms part of the Virgo Cluster. When viewed from Earth, the galaxies lie along a smoothly curved line. Charles Messier first discovered two of the galaxies, M84 and M86, in 1781. In this image the Eyes Galaxies (NGC 4435-NGC 4438 ) can be seen in the center,  a pair of galaxies about 52 million light-years away.

I had about two hours each night after my narrowband targets were under the horizon, so I decided to point it at an area with lots of activity. This is my first galaxy shot so I had to tweak my normal processing workflow I use for narrowband.
