Description

If you're hungry for a 'hamburger', this is your next meal; hope you have a big appetite. NGC-3628, also known by the moniker "The Hamburger Galaxy", is the largest visible member of the "Leo Trio" of galaxies, along with M-65 and 66. Current thinking is that it's a barred spiral seen edge-on, but the debate rages on. With a 300,000 light year tidal tail, 3628 shines down upon Earth from 35 million light years away.
