Description

The Iris Nebula, imaged over several nights in late May and early June 2022.   Captured using R, G and B filters with approximately forty five 300 second exposures for each filter.  The telescope used is a 130mm APO with field flattener which creates an f6.7 or 871mm focal length.  The imaging camera is a monochrome ZWO ASI 2600 with an APSC sized sensor and 3.76 micron pixels.   This was an attempt for me to get a more detailed look at Iris with more lights than my previous attempt with the CF152.   However, the results are very similar.  In addition to a different image train, I used the NoiseXterminator process from R-C Astro in PixInsight to control noise in both linear and non-linear processing states.
