Description

Located in the constellation Vulpecula, this planetary nebula contains beautiful knots of gas and dust shed from its central white dwarf star. M27 was the first planetary nebula discovered by Charles Messier and can easily be seen through a pair of binoculars.

For this image I’ve mapped Ha, HaOiii, HaOiii to the R, G, B channels. I didn’t have a chance to capture true RGB star colour but I think this turned out just right. I hope you like it!
