Description

The Waterbug Galaxy (per Stellarium, NGC5033) & a few others. Last night the conditions were very good, finally a new moon with clear skies! I set up both my rigs, this one getting at least one more night of galaxy imaging this spring galaxy season. Most galaxies were already past meridian once twilight ends, so getting to be limited time. Pretty happy with the detail for just one short night. I was really surprised how bright and detailed the smaller unnamed companion NGC5005 was. Getting to be quite hot out, overnight low was about 70F... my sensor was averaging 34c! Going to miss the cold winter nights. At least the bugs aren't out yet!

Bonus astrometrics: I see a couple objects are left undefined so I looked them up. The bluish smudge to the left of the Waterbug Galaxy is Holmberg VIII (PGC45927) and the fainter one a bit up and to the right of that one is PGC-46009 (both are galaxies).
