Description

While the Coma Galaxy Cluster gets all the attention, the open cluster is rarely imaged, maybe because it's so spread out that it requires a wide 135mm FL lens to capture.  I've attempted it with a Redcat before and it's just too big for it, unless one has a FF camera.

The Needle Galaxy NGC 4565 and NGC 4559 are quite conspicuous near the bottom edge.

First light of the Askar FMA135, getting sharpness right was a challenge as I have no way to put autofocuser on it and the Bahtinov mask doesn't really nail it.  I may end up sticking to narrowband with it until some AF solution is found.  About 1 hour of exposures had to be thrown out due to inexact focus.

I am going to experiment with some tweaks to backspacing as well, as per usual with any new scope.  I must say I am happy the FMA135 is free of CA that plagues the Askar line, like FMA180 which is terrible in that respect.
