Quick and dirty session to get a new telescope, filters, and camera all working. YES!!
Date: June 16th, 2022

Telescope: Skywatcher ESPRIT 100ED Triplet APO refractor with (supplied) recommended flattener and 550mm focal length, F/5.5 My first real astrograph with 40mm image circle!

Mount: EQ6R PRO

Main Camera: QHY294m PRO monochrome IMX492 Sony back-illuminated 4/3 sensor
47 MegaPixel Mode (12 bits) - gain 2300 ( I feel like this gain was a bit on the high side )

The pixel scale is right where I want it (less than 1 at 0.855 arcsec/pixel) guiding is impeccable with this amazing mount. The image is a bit noisy because I used NO calibration images.

Filters: Antlia 3nm Bandpass 2-inch diameter mounted Ha and OIII
Filter Wheel: NONE filter in single position magnetic Starizona tray (para focal I.E. required no re-focusing when manually changing!!)

Focusing: Hand-focused with fine-cut Bahtinov Mask
Camera sensor temp: -12 Degrees C

Exposures: 18 subs 240 Seconds each OIII (Antlia) 3nm 18 subs 240 Seconds each Ha (Antlia) 3nm No flats, darks, dark flats, or bias frames were used!! next time I will

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
