Description

This planetary nebula candidate was discovered by Dana Patchick back in December 2018, and the first visual image of it was posted here on Astrobin by Marcel Drechsler & Co about a month ago. It is quite big so I thought I would have a go at it with my dual-RASA8 rig. I was a bit optimistic as I imaged it under a near full moon and only put 10.8 hours on it. The moon made the data suffer from gradients and for being washed out by the bright sky, and I initially gave up on the processing. But now when astrodarkness is gone up here I had another go at the processing. At least it is there and this is probably only the second image of it. Maybe I should have a second go on a moonless night when astrodarkness returns in late August.
