Description

Its taken the better part of a lunation, almost uniformally sub-optimal weather, 120 x 600sec sub-frames and about 100 more rejected, but I have finally completed a narrowband mosaic of the Serpent, Eagle and Swan nebulae largely as an accident.  Of three nebulae, I actually find the Eagle the least inspiring.  The Serpent has these wonderful swirls of colour, and the Swan has the amazing red/blue contrast - not to mention a few nearby nebula that are also quite beautiful.

There is one nebula I can't identify from my maps (well, actually several - but this one is particularly lovely).  It is just below (east) of Sh2-43, and just to south west of M18.  Can anyone enlighten me?  Perhaps I will find out when (if) this is plate-solved.
