Taken on the only clear night in ages, between low pressure fronts, I managed to collate enough frames to provide a reasonable image of the bubble. I started with 600s exposures, but quickly reduced these to 120s, to try and preserve frames as the clouds scudded through, and to improve the overall SNR. I may (or not) add some colour to this in due course.

Captured using Nebulosity with a small dither between frames, aligned and stacked in Nebulosity, and processed in Startools 1.8 beta using a standard workflow.

This cosmic wonder is 7 LY across, and 7,100 LY away. Powered by a 4 million year old star (off centre in the image), which lights up the surrounding nebulosity; the bubble is forming from a stellar wind travelling at 4 million mph [Hubble site].

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
