Description

The Pinwheel Galaxy (M101) is a giant spiral galaxy spanning over 170,000 light years. Discovered in 1781 by Pierre Mechain, M101 is located 25 million light years away from earth in the constellation Ursa Major. This image was made from 3 hours worth of images taken with Orion ED80T on AVX mount and ZWO 183MC Pro camera.
