Description

This region sports much more than just H-alpha emissions!  Star nurseries, reflection nebulae, emission nebulae, dust bands, and what looks like a supernova remnant (but my be a planetary nebula).  It lies 26 degrees south of the celestial equator in Puppis.  This complex field includes NGC 2467.   The image uses the HOO format but with both S and H for red, O for green and blue, and  a small fraction of S in the green and blue channels as well.
