Description

I imaged this target last night and it is a difficult one, heavily obscured by the dust of our own galaxy and having low surface brightness.  I had several issues during the imaging run including initial guiding issues, wind, and a probable episode of mirror flop.  But it was my first successful meridian flip.  I imaged from 5:30 pm through 2:45 am the following morning in 2 minute subs.  Out of all of that data, I was able to find 4 hrs 56 minutes worth of decent subs that I could use to stack in Siril.  Processing was very lite and minimal, mostly in Siril with a quick pass through ImagesPlus afterwards.  I'd used my C6 at f6.3 with an Astronomik L1 filter and my ZWO ASI533MC camera.  Guiding used a 50mm f3.2 Orion guide scope and ZWO ASI120MM mini guide camera.  It was a good learning experience.
