Description

Not a lot of images of this galaxy on the site.  Recently, it was in good position between the neighbors roof and my trees to get 2 to 3 hours per night.  It travels along near the celestial equator so had to capture before the moon got too high.  I actually like the friend, NGC 5740, (95 MLY's), a lot and my go after it at a dark site next year...even fewer images of it.

NGC 5746 is 95 MLY's away and is seen nearly edge-on.  B magnitude of 12.3.  Not bad from my 18.45, bortle 7 backyard and why I went longer than the customary 5 Gary hours 😂.  I was trying different exposure lengths to determine what was best...was hard to tell much difference, so I ended up combining them all 🤪
