PI WeightedBatchProcessing versus Deep Sky Stacker - resolved (Version C) with Bogdan's and Tim's help!

Description

I assume that I do something wrong in PI, hence my question. I watched some videos and checked on Google/YouTube about this, but could not find anything. Hence my question to my beloved Astrobin community:

On the left side you see the STF'ed raw stacked image obtained via PI's WeightedBatchProcessing, on the right side I used the VERY same input data for Deep Sky Stacker.

As one can see (and I noticed this lately so badly, I thought it was the presence of the moon that caused it), the PI stacked image has gradients in the corner as if the FLAT files were not taken into account. According to every video/instruction I saw I do not do anything wrong, but for me this is obvious.

I do like the PI stacked image in the center, but the edge handling makes it almost impossible to use.

Did anybody else experience this? My flats are not marked with a special filter, neither are my light images, can that be a reason? My flats are taken with different exposure times (since at dusk/dawn the flat gets brighter/darker while taking them), could that be it?

I am sure that I do something wrong, but what is it?

Description: Left image the "newly" integrated PI version with the suggestion from Bogdan and Tim! That definitely solved the problem. I am still a bit puzzled since it almost looks like that the DSS version is a tick better (more contrast), I will look as well into Rodd's suggestion! Great advices!!
