NGC3718 is a lenticular galaxy in the constellation of Ursa Major, and lies some 48 million light years away. A lenticular galaxy is one that has morphology between an elliptical and spiral galaxy. It has a warped S-shape, most likely caused by the gravitational interaction with the nearby spiral galaxy NGC3729.
